How does Snips use my personal information?

Snips collects personal information such as your professional contact details and information about your company, job title, and history of communication and/or interaction with Snips’ team. Snips may use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • To keep track of its interactions, analyze and enrich its relationship with its prospects and customers, and conduct reporting on its sales activities, including via a CRM software. The legal basis for this processing is Snips’ legitimate interest in managing its relationship with prospects and customers;

  • To communicate with prospects and customers with a view to processing orders, conclude agreements, and follow the performance of contracts. The legal basis for this processing is the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures between you and Snips;

  • To comply with its tax and other legal obligations, including in terms of invoicing, accounting and archiving. The legal basis for this processing is Snips’ legal obligations;

  • To send you our enterprise newsletter if we think it might be of interest to you, unless you have opted-out from receiving it. The legal basis for this processing is Snips’ legitimate interest in communicating with its prospects and customers about its news, products and services.

The provision of this information is a condition for us to be able to do business with you. Should you not wish us to process certain information listed above, we may not be able to conduct business with you in a smooth manner.

How can I unsubscribe from the enterprise newsletter?

If you received our enterprise newsletter, it is because you made your professional details available to Snips at an event or a trade show, during a meeting, or you were otherwise introduced to someone at Snips in your professional capacity, and we thought one of our newsletters could be of interest to you. Should you wish to unsubscribe from any of our newsletters, simply click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of our newsletters, or use our contact details below.

Who may we share your personal information with?

We may share your information with our service providers (including our CRM provider), as well as with financial institutions, networks, and exchanges that provide us with the means to accept your chosen method of payment. We may also share your information with competent regulatory authorities for legitimate reasons. If this involves your data being stored or accessed from outside of the EU, we will make sure we implement adequate measures to secure the data transfer, such as a data transfer agreement based on the EU Commission’s model clauses.

We will store your information for five years after the end of your contractual relationship with Snips, or two years after our last contact with you, or the retention period required by law, whichever is longest, and for the applicable statute of limitations period thereafter.

You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data or the restriction of the processing of your personal data, or to object to the processing, as well as the right to data portability, under the conditions laid out in the GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, and to give us instructions on how to handle your personal data in the event of your death.
